The film of alternate histories takes its time to build up atmosphere and character, but at an astonishing 2h 41min feels too slow with some (a lot of) material that doesn't really advance the plot. That is why it is also uneven, with distinct variance in tone and not without its flat patches. It is watchable, but I don't want to re-seen it again or buy it. I was mostly entertained by it, but it is a bit of a mess. Bruce Lee is little bit more cartoonish than rest of characters and didn't come off well, while Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie) comparing to male characters feels a little bit flat. I just felt unsatisfied after it was finish. Love him or not, when you're watching a Tarantino movie, you know it is a Tarantino film. I'm just not a big fan of his.
Rating: 6/7- just because of fantastic and hard to achieve effortless Brad Pitt.
I like that sony used the Columbia pictures logo from the 60s in this movie! Its awesome
Brad Pitt did an outstanding job, he deserves a nomination for best supporting actor 👍🏻. I honestly wouldve watched the full version of this movie with Leo. That was fantastic. There's too many beautiful people in this room I don't know who to focus on. If Cliff hadn't been there Dalton would have gotten murdered. Cliff ended up being the hero of the film.

Two Easter eggs I noticed were in the beginning of the movie rick says to cliff that (I forget who he said) told him to never rent in Hollywood and to own your house... Tate and Polanski were renting the house... if they had owned it maybe Manson wouldnt have set that house as the target due to the fact his old friend use to live there...

You keep me hanging on by Vanilla Fudge was playing when the dog was pretty much hanging on all the family members. 2019 has dope doggos fighting in film- John Wick 3: Sophia's dogs wrecking assassins Once Upon A Time In Hollywood: Cliff's dog defending him from the hippies. I love that their casting is also on point. I'm surprised there's Steve Mcqueen in this movie and the actor just looked like him, without any cgi needed.
How about end credits and miss lily langtry by maurice jarre. i belive is a hommage to judge roy bean by john houston, or. The way he tears up in this movie shows so much emotion my god man. The 14 fists of McCluskey is likely a reference to the face-breaking punch that corrupt cop McCluskey laid onto Al Pacino's Michael Corleone in The Godfather.
6:36 Tarantino mildly jumps out of nowhere & just says yeah in the middle of Leo's sentence L O L. The scene where he's reading the book in the chair next to her is really great too. Middle kinda seemed to run on a lot but the ending was totally worth it. Leo: “I dont need it. I dont need it. I dont need it. I NEEEEED ITTTTTTT!”. I already watched d movie on d big screen. TARANTINO SAVED SHARON TATE. 8:40 Leo don't denied. He agree with his head hahaha. Little tidbit. NIN Downward Spiral was recorded in the Tate house.
